Character Profile

 CASTING

My character profile will outline exactly who I am going to be using in my music video, analysing what scenes they will be carrying out and why they are perfect for the roles they are being chosen for.

CANARY WHARF JOB INTERVIEWEE - finalise the female character but there is a choice of either; Laura Madden or Ruby Yianni. I will give you an update on who i have chosen for this as i decide, with my reasons behind it.

Actress- Felicity Bourdillion
Age- 17 - singer and musician

She will be the actress who lip-syncs the song, these clips will be edited in and she will feature throughout the music video in certain clips. This will occur in my school media studio which will been a white background, to make the actress stand out.

Her artsy edgy character will influence my video to target my audience. By her being a confident singer already through carrying out school productions and music concerts it will help with the task when lip-syncing the song in the most effective way.

Update on character profile

I am now contemplating whether I should challenge the stereotype of a male being the boxer and using a female instead. However if I do go ahead with this it will open up a new sub-genre being that women can carry out any job role (patriarchy). Despite this I am aiming to target males and females so this would slim down the chance of males being intrigued by the video as i am looking for more of a universal approach as the videos intention is to express to the audience that everyone fights battles e.g jobs. I will produce a new character profile to update you on my final decision.

Location for the interview

This will be my location for the interview based in essex however through the music video i will make the interview look like its based in London. The outside being glamorous and sophisticated with the inside obtaining a stereotype of an office. The office containing a glass sound proof room with a desk and laptops in the room , create a strong idea of an interview room (pitch room).

Filming Schedule

This is a filming schedule that includes; casting, scenery, equipment and the dates of when these scenes will be carried out. This helps with the planning as i will be organised with especially casting for dates. I will also make 2 dates which will be for back-up purposes just incase an actor is ill etc.

Equipment

I will be using the equipment in the screenshots below to identify what i need exactly to create a professional looking music video.  The halo light is a possibility as I may not need it.

Storyboard

This storyboard depicts each camera shot and outlines who's being used in each scene and where to film it. This will help with the flow of my music video so nothing is missed out and will help make my music video successful.

Fight Song pitch

I carried out a pitch presentation on my developed ideas for my music video. There is a video that will be uploaded shortly on me presenting this presentation to the rest of my class. Through this i may develop my ideas even more or change certain aspects but this is a basis of what i am planning on carrying out.

Below is the video of my pitch presentation to my A2 class

UPDATE ON MUSIC CHOICE

After browsing Youtube i have decided to create my music video on the pop song 'Fight Song' this is allowing me to create an inspiring music video to target both male and females however it will mainly catch females eyes as it is a pop song and stereotypical women prefer pop songs to males. However through my music video i want to involve both male and females to interact both genders, despite this there will need to be a target audience and I have decided to chose females from the age of 13-20. I am going to carry out a target audience profile to highlight the key themes my audience will have in common.

Textual Analysis

Quantitative data feedback analysis

Target Audience research

I have created a PowerPoint to understand my target audience through analysing Rachel's social media accounts and to create a clear understanding of who she is aiming her music towards. I will then create a target audience profile to outline the exact type of people I am targeting through my video and ancillary products.

In conclusion I have decided to to target a young adult female audience
