I have now decided to film over the February half term due to my ideas developing and changing. I have planned to film on the 12th and 14th February and a extra day just in case has been put in place this being the 16th February if any problems do arise on the day of filming.  On the 12th February i will be filming in Shoreditch and Canary Wharf and on the 14th I will be filming the interview. I have created shooting schedules for both of the days.

Emailing the record label

To use the song for my music video I have to email the record label expresing why i am using it. Here is a screenshot of the email I sent to Columbia records who promote Rachel platten's albums. Tis is essential as below you can see I have wirtten that it is not to make profits but for educational purposes.

Costumes

Suit at Canary Wharf and interview (beginning)
I want felicity in a black suit with a white shirt. This being a stereotypical work outfit. I decided that i wanted it to be trousers as it challenges the how women normally wear skirts instead. This matches with my story line as she is trying to fit into a 'man's working environment' this being canary wharf. That black and white is simple and plain which will contrast with her outfit later on. Furthermore the simple, boring clothing mirrors her feelings this being that she is melancholic.

Graffiti wall and Interview (later)
I have chosen the artist to wear a bright red jacket with a stripy t-shirt and casual jeans. She will be standing in front of the vibrant wall and also when she comes back to the interview feeling confident and powerful. The clothing represents the change in character and how she feels herself.

Casting Update

Due to my change in the story line I have decided to focus the entire music video on the artist herself therefore making her the center of attention. I feel that this is the best way to promote the artist and familiarise her with her target audience. As the story- line focuses on facing rejection the artist will be the one facing this, therefore putting her in the same situations everyone goes through. Therefore I feel that this creates a link between the artist and her audience.

Character profile

Artist : Felicity Bourdillon
Age: 17 years old
Hobbies: Singing, Photography and playing the Piano

I feel that with Felicity's ability to sing and act she has the necessities to make the music video successful. She fits the part through her edgy personality with the way she dresses and can lip sync in an effective way due to her appearing in school productions. Also in her Music A level she has to ct as a part for her singing section therefore she understands the way in which she needs to uptake the role of the lyrics of the song.

Other Characters

The other characters are going to be the female interviewers their names being; Laura, Paige and Amy. They won't have a speaking role as the clips will only be short but through their body language it will highlight how they are un-interested in her at the beginning but when she comes back as strong and confident close ups will highlight their views changing. I decided to pick an all female cast to highlight the idea that women are in the working environment now and i create a sub-genre this being about the empowerment of women.

Storyboard

I have created a storyboard which includes my main shots and locations, this allows me not to forget any significant shots and keeps the filming days running smoothly.
